9:01 pm Update: Here's the trailer!
The official trailer for Atlas Shrugged Part 2 appears this evening, Wednesday, September 5, at 9:00 p.m. EDT on the movie's web site . It will be the first chance for audiences to see the sets and the new cast delivering lines from the movie, as well as get a taste of the special effects. Currently, the link features a "teaser" trailer with a few lines exchanged between Hank Rearden (played by Jason Beghe) and a character known in the novel as "The Wet Nurse." The Wet Nurse is a young bureaucrat sent from Washington, D.C. to assess the political profit to be made from Hank Rearden's steel mills. He begins as a mouthpiece for the collectivist slogans he's learned in academia, but undergoes a change as he comes to understand Rearden. In the movie, this character is named Leonard Small and the actor is Bug Hall . Here's the dialogue:
Leonard Small: "You know Mr. Rearden, times have changed. We all have to be flexible. We can't be tied down by rigid principles."
Henry Rearden: "Try pouring a ton of steel without rigid principles."
The clip ends with the shocking sound of an explosion and a glimpse of a plane crash. Stay tuned.
