Summer Seminar 2010: TAS/FreeMinds
For nearly 20 years, The Atlas Society’s annual Summer Seminar brought together people interested in Objectivism for a week of lectures, art and music, and social events in a spirit of benevolence and open discussion. In 2009, when TAS didn’t hold a Summer Seminar, Fred Stitt and Kate Herrick stepped in to fill the void by organizing FreeMinds’09, a week of fun and ideas in Las Vegas. David Kelley and Ed Hudgins spoke at FreeMinds’09 and were impressed with the results.
So for Summer Seminar 2010, The Atlas Society is announcing a new partnership with Fred Stitt and his FreeMinds foundation. FreeMinds will organize the Summer Seminar and handle registration and site selection. TAS will focus on providing key content, ensuring the quality of the program, and sponsoring scholarship students to attend. It’s a win–win arrangement, putting a fresh approach behind the Atlas Society Summer Seminar while maintaining the quality and the open, rational spirit that have been the hallmarks of the Summer Seminar for two decades.
Join us for the 2010 Atlas Society Summer Seminar, the 20th anniversary of the founding of the organization, planned for June 30-July 8, 2010, in Washington, D.C.
The call for proposals and details of the program will be forthcoming on the new dedicated Summer Seminar 2010 website.
